Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori

This week is Māori language week.

All classes are doing a range of activities to promote our understanding of te reo Māori and Māori culture.

Travis Wetlands

Today we went to Travis Wetlands to explore and learn about a wetlands habitat.

We learned, much to our dismay, that in 1800, 93% of what is known as Christchurch was a wetland habitat. By 2000 that had shrunk to only 3%.
